White oak has a straight, uniform grain pattern with cells that are very close together which makes it a lot stronger than other grain variations.
The American White Oak Bed Frame is more durable and long-lasting than other types of wood. Built to withstand heavy structural stress, white oak ranks highly on the Janka hardness scale with score 1360 lbs (a good Janka rating is 1,000 lbs). Highly resilient and resistant to decay, it is the ideal bed frame material.

Better Water Resistance
White oak has higher water resistance than most other types of wood because it is a close-grained hardwood with much tighter pores plugged by membranes called tyloses. It is a safer choice for areas exposed to moisture and humidity.
Closed Grain Structure:
No Need for Fillers
To save on cost, most brands adopt cheaper wood types that have a coarser, uneven surface with open pores, and then fill these pores with wood fillers (formulated with byproducts such as sawdust) so the finish will dry to a smooth, flat surface.

These are the most beautiful bed frame I’ve had . The color of the wood is s but it matched well with my papaya sheets – it was more a orange copper.
Besides being comfy, I really enjoyed the zips on the duvet cover so I don’t have to button it up like my older sheets!
